Update: Los Angeles 15-August-2007

Disarm director Brian Liu just returned from Los Angeles, where he was invited by Quiksilver to screen Disarm, the third in The Bigger Picture series of socially conscious films presented by Global Inheritance. The Venice Beach sunset screening was organized by Eric Ritz of Global Inheritance and hosted by Adam Katz on the beautiful QuikSilverEdition Mission’s outdoor patio to an inquisitive audience of about 60 people. Thanks for the fun time, free drinks and clothes at the screening, and kind support!

It has been a busy summer for Disarm director Brian Liu. In June, along with actress Rosanna Arquette and filmmaker Joe Berlinger (Brother¹s Keeper, Metallica: Some Kind Of Monster), Brian was a judge in the music documentaries category of the prestigious Silverdocs Documentary Film Festival (AFI/Discovery Channel) Documentary Film Festival. Brian presented the best music doc award to Nomadak TX at the ceremony. Also in June, Brian was a judge at the Jackson Hole Film Festival in Wyoming in the Global Insight documentary category. Disarm won the Cowboy Award for this category in 2006; this year the winner was Buddha's Lost Children.
