
Report: Colombia 30-January-2004
We shot our third set of footage in Bogota, Colombia in January 2004, using six hours of tape during two days of filming.Footage collected includes:
- A visit by helicopter to the impoverished community of Zaragoza, northeast of Medellín in Antioquia department, where landmine survivors (all of them injures in just the past three years), the major, and the local priest, spoke to campaigners in an emotional town hall meeting.
- A visit to the rehabilitation NGO CIREC (Centro Integral de Rehabilitación de Colombia) in Bogotá, where we talked to a mine survivor employed to make prosthetic limbs, as well as with mine survivors from around the country.
- Street interviews in Spanish with inhabitants of one of Bogota's richest neighborhoods on their knowledge of the landmine problem.
